Today saw us off to the seaside of south shields playing south tyneside jets who are sitting fourth in our league.With perfect conditions and pitch surely a good game ahead. From the start the jets where playing some good stuff which we matched right across the park. With nathan and luke starting to see a lot more of the ball surely it was just time before we grabbed the lead and our defence yet again snubbing out everthing the jets put at them with wilson having a outstanding performance in the centre and backed up with the rest of the defence helping to keep the jets d

Finally the weather broke to let us get back on the pitch today saw us in the league cup  playing gateshead sapipa oranges who are doing well in there own right.From kick off we knew this was going to be a hard fought match with a hard tackling side on a fairly heavy pitch. Did not take us along to get the football going from front to back and it was not long before we got our rewards with a well worked goal from the right with very good work and skill from adam b (young rooney) to slide the ball to nathan on the right to send in a inch perfect cross for brayden to finish cleanly.

With 3 players missing today and only the bare 11 to play, this was going to test our srenght in depth. We started slowly today not holding on to possesion and  not getting our passing football away. A couple of changes to the formation changed things quickly and after our first couple of goals, it was then always going to be a case of how many. From the kick off we seemed to set about Hetton with our football being played at a high tempo and it was not long before we got our rewards with a stone cold penalty with Nathan  been took out in the box. As little rooney (adam b) stepped up we we should of seen the net russle but a great save was pulled off by the hetton keeper, not to worry the way we were playing it was not long before we should take the lead. After the overnight rain, the game went ahead on a suprisingly good pitch. One of the few teams in the league that we have played before, we knew we would be in for a good game against a strong Birtley team. The game started brightly with both teams having their share of possession, a tight game early on with a physical battle between 2 teams that wanted to win. Another first for Moorside today, playing against Whitburn Juniors, on a smaller pitch than we are used to, we started brightly and pressured the Whitburn back line, with a slight wind advantage 1st half it was important to push forward and make it count. We had several chances to do this but none taking until we were awarded a generous penalty on 18 minutes, having  one awarded against us last week, the term swings and roundabouts was our thoughts, this was slotted away brilliantly from Adam Burnett giving the Whitburn keeper no chance. Our first meeting against Coxhoe, and we started the game a little slowly, waiting for something to happen rather than making it.We eventually took the lead after 10 minutes after a through ball from jay was finished well from Jack. This did seem to lift us a bit and started to play our football and shortly after were rewarded with a second with a lofted finish from Braydn from 20 yards.2-0 up after 15 minutes, an ideal time to push on?..instead we let Coxhoe back into the game and although they pulled back a very suspect goal, it was know more than we deserved. 2-1, now it was Coxhoe

First game of our new season against a Whickham team that won the 3rd Division last season with a very impressive record. A good start to the game from both sides ,with some good football, we took a well deserved lead midway through the first half with a great finish from Kris.Half time 1-0 Moorside. 2nd half we continued to press the Whickaham goal, with Adam Burnett up front causing the Whickham defence alot of problems and it was a through ball off him that set Kris away just inside the Whickham half, a great run towards the goal followed by an even better finish for his 2nd and a 2 goal
