Match Reviews
Gateshead sapipa 1 v 3 Moorside juniors
Mar 7, 2010, 8:56 pmThis was the match we been looking forward to, the top
of the table clash with our good friends Gateshead.
It was easy to see from kick off that it was going to be a hard
fought game with both teams looking for the 3 points.
This was always going to be a game were the 1st goal was very
important and with Nathan, Tom and Luke starting to play football
round the sapipas midfield, it wasn't long before Moorside
started creating chances, with Adam B holding the ball up Rooney
like. With 20 minutes gone in the game the hard work of the
midfield finally payed

South Tyneside Jets 0 - 2 Moorside Juniors
Jan 24, 2010, 3:56 pmToday saw us off to the seaside of south shields playing south
tyneside jets who are sitting fourth in our league. With perfect
conditions and pitch surely a good game ahead. From the start
the jets where playing some good stuff which we matched right
across the park. With nathan and luke starting to see a lot
more of the ball surely it was just time before we grabbed the lead
and our defence yet again snubbing out everthing the jets put
at them with wilson having a outstanding performance in the centre
and backed up with the rest of the defence helping to keep the
jets d

Gateshead Sapipa Oranges 1 - 3 Moorside Juniors (League Cup)
Jan 17, 2010, 4:38 pmFinally the weather broke to let us get back on the pitch today
saw us in the league cup playing gateshead sapipa oranges who
are doing well in there own right. From kick off we knew this was
going to be a hard fought match with a hard tackling side on a
fairly heavy pitch. Did not take us along to get the football going
from front to back and it was not long before we got our rewards
with a well worked goal from the right with very good work and
skill from adam b (young rooney) to slide the ball to nathan
on the right to send in a inch perfect cross for brayden to finish
cleanly.

Chester Athletic Dragons 0 - 9 Moorside Juniors
Dec 13, 2009, 2:04 pmWith 3 players missing today and only the bare 11 to play, this
was going to test our srenght in depth. We started slowly today not
holding on to possesion and not getting our passing football
away. A couple of changes to the formation changed things quickly
and after our first couple of goals, it was then always going to be
a case of how many. We got our confidence then set about Chester
with some very good footballl, 2 goals in paticular that were
finished off after double figure passing moves. Some great football
today with goals from a hatrick off Luke (his 1st but sure not

Moorside Juniors 5- 0 Hetton Juniors
Nov 15, 2009, 3:28 pmFrom the kick off we seemed to set about Hetton with our
football being played at a high tempo and it was not long before we
got our rewards with a stone cold penalty with Nathan been
took out in the box. As little rooney (adam b) stepped up we
we should of seen the net russle but a great save was pulled off by
the hetton keeper, not to worry the way we were playing it was not
long before we should take the lead. As we pushed forward nathan
burst from the half way line with the ball at hes feet with a
couple bits of dazzling skill bang ball in the back of the
net 1 -

Birtley Town 0 - 2 Moorside Juniors
Nov 8, 2009, 6:05 pmAfter the overnight rain, the game went ahead on a suprisingly
good pitch. One of the few teams in the league that we have played
before, we knew we would be in for a good game against a strong
Birtley team. The game started brightly with both teams having
their share of possession, a tight game early on with a physical
battle between 2 teams that wanted to win. Keeping the ball on the
floor and playing our football we eventually got the breakthrough
midway through the 1st half, with some good football down the right
involving Kris, Nathan and Adam B, before Kris squared
for Bray

Whitburn Juniors 1 - 2 Moorside Juniors
Oct 4, 2009, 2:27 pmAnother first for Moorside today, playing against Whitburn
Juniors, on a smaller pitch than we are used to, we started
brightly and pressured the Whitburn back line, with a slight wind
advantage 1st half it was important to push forward and make it
count. We had several chances to do this but none taking until we
were awarded a generous penalty on 18 minutes, having one
awarded against us last week, the term swings and roundabouts was
our thoughts, this was slotted away brilliantly from Adam Burnett
giving the Whitburn keeper no chance. Again after a 1st goal, this
did lift us and sta
